Buckwheat honey

Buckwheat honey is produced in Canada and the USA, especially in Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. It has a dark color and a high iron content.

It has been discovered that buckwheat honey has more antioxidant compounds than other honey varieties. Its consumptions reduces the incidence of cancer and cardiovascular disease.

 Experts recommend this honey variety for mead production, because it dilutes easily.
